Why are flashings for DUO combinations so important?
Combining roof windows requires precise workmanship, as connecting two separate structures always poses greater challenges in terms of tightness and water drainage. DUO FAKRO flashings have been designed to eliminate the risk of leaks, air bridges and uneven water drainage. Their task is to direct rainwater flow as if the roof was equipped with one large window instead of two separate ones. This allows the entire combined surface to act as a uniform system, resistant to weather conditions and maintaining excellent performance parameters for many years.
Precisely engineered design ensuring tightness
The ESV DUO and EZV-A DUO flashings feature a common lower and upper element that covers both windows simultaneously. This eliminates areas where leaks could occur. The side elements and frame side covering profiles form a uniform flashing surface, and factory-made sealing wedges protect the interior from dust, leaves or snow. The lower sections of the flashings are glued with plastic compound, which allows them to adhere perfectly to the roof and ensures high tightness even on demanding roofing materials. The flashings’ design has been developed in such a way as to speed up installation, facilitate the roofer’s work and eliminate the need for additional finishing work.
