Roof windows
Lifetime warranty
- Applies to toughened glass used in glazing units.
- FAKRO roof windows with toughened glass are covered by a lifetime hail resistance warranty.
- The warranty has no expiry date — protection remains valid for the entire service life of the window.
20-year warranty
Applies to the following models:
- FTP U5, FTP-V U5, FTU U5, FTU-V U5, FTW U5, FTW-V U5, FTP-X P50, FTU-X P50, FTP-V P50, FTU-V P50 (including RAL colour versions)
Conditions for obtaining the extended warranty:
Purchase of:
- a roof window (one of the models listed above)
- a Thermo flashing
- an XDK insulation kit
- registration within 180 days from the date of purchase — using the “20 Year Warranty” form
- compliance with the warranty terms
- a paid service inspection between the 5th and 7th year of use

15-year warranty
Applies to:
- Glazing units in FAKRO windows (from 2005 onwards)
- Metal fittings in pivot roof windows (from 2011 onwards), excluding FTT, FY_, FD_ models and flat roof windows
How to obtain the 15-year warranty?
- registration within 180 days from the date of purchase — using the “15 Year Warranty” form
- compliance with the warranty terms

10-year warranty
Applies to:
- FAKRO roof windows together with the flashing
The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase by the original owner.

Applies to:
- FAKRO loft ladders
- miller staircases
- L-shaped combination doors

Applies to:
- the wood effect paint and lacquer coating (wood effect veneer)
2-year warranty
Applies to:
- correct operation of the garage door
- the paint and lacquer coating in uniform finishes
- fittings and components, including automation (e.g. control drives)

Facade joinery

2-year warranty
Applies to:
- electrical control components
The warranty period runs from the date of purchase by the first owner.
5-year warranty
Applies to:
- correct operation of the windows
- electrical control components
- clear varnish paint and lacquer coatings
The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase by the original owner.
10-year warranty
Applies to:
- glazing unit tightness
- paint and lacquer coatings (excluding clear varnish coatings)
The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase by the original owner
15-year warranty
Applies to:
- wooden or wood-aluminium windows, provided that:
- Installation is carried out by an authorised FAKRO team
- three paid inspections are performed (in the 10th, 12th and 14th year of use)

FAQ
How long is the warranty on FAKRO roof windows?
The standard warranty on FAKRO roof windows is 10 years. It can be extended to 15 or 20 years if you register the product, purchase the required accessories and complete the service inspections within the specified time.
Does the FAKRO warranty cover installation?
No, the FAKRO warranty does not cover installation. The warranty applies only to defects resulting from the product’s design, materials or workmanship. Incorrect installation excludes warranty liability.
What documents are required to submit a FAKRO warranty claim?
To submit a warranty claim, you will need: a completed warranty card, proof of purchase, the product’s number and series, and a description of the defect. It is also recommended to include photos of the damage.
Can the FAKRO warranty be extended?
Yes. FAKRO allows you to extend the warranty to 15 or 20 years, provided that the product is registered within 180 days of purchase and all additional requirements are fulfilled.
How do I submit a FAKRO warranty claim?
A FAKRO warranty claim can be submitted by post to ul. Węgierska 144a, 33 300 Nowy Sącz, through the online form on our website, or via email at serwis@fakro.pl.
Are mechanical damages (e.g. broken glass) covered by the FAKRO warranty?
No. Mechanical damages, such as broken glass, are not covered by the warranty. FAKRO is responsible only for defects resulting from causes inherent to the product itself.
