Insulation band
An installation element that eliminates thermal bridges at the junction between the window and the roof, improving the insulation performance of the entire structure.
Reducing heat loss and eliminating thermal bridges
The XWT Plus insulation band has been designed to improve the energy efficiency of buildings by reducing heat loss in places where the roof window meets the roof structure. These are the most common locations for thermal bridges, which reduce the insulation of the entire building envelope. Applying the band effectively eliminates this problem and maintains stable thermal conditions indoors year-round.
System connection with the Thermo flashing
One of the key advantages of the XWT Plus model is its ability to be integrated with the Thermo flashing. This solution allows for the insulation of the entire height of the roof window frame, providing complete protection against cold and moisture penetration. The band fits both standard and deeper windows, ensuring a wide range of applications in various roofing designs.
Robust design and easy installation
The product is made of polyethylene foam with a very low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ = 0.04 W/mK). This material is highly resistant to deformation and durable in use. The XWT Plus band is 22 mm thick and is supplied in sections tailored to the window dimensions. The elements are joined at the corners with a specially reinforced aluminium tape. Installation is facilitated by self-adhesive tape and a profile that stabilises the position of the band, allowing for quick and precise insulation without the need for additional tools. The XWT Plus band has been designed to make installation as easy as possible. Its flexible shape and cuts allow it to fit snugly to the lining and roof window frames. This makes it suitable for both standard roofs and projects requiring a custom approach. The high quality of the materials used translates into the durability and safety of the entire insulation system.
