Effective insulation and tightness around the perimeter

Thermal parameters

The 40 mm thick panels filled with polyurethane foam (PUR) provide a high level of thermal insulation, making the door suitable for heated garages. The heat transfer coefficient for the entire structure is U = 1.3 W/ (m²K). The closed-cell foam effectively reduces moisture penetration and dampens outside noise.

Seal system

Seals made of EPDM rubber, resistant to temperature fluctuations and UV radiation, are used along the entire perimeter. The lip profile between the panels eliminates leaks, and the flexible bottom strip adapts to floor irregularities, creating a tight barrier against dust, moisture and draughts. The seal system retains its properties for many years of use without the need for maintenance.

Safety and structural durability

Mechanical protection

The spring and suspension cable system (in selected sizes) is equipped with mechanical safety locks that stop the door in the event of failure of one of the suspension components. This solution does not require a power supply and meets the requirements of EN 13241 for the safe use of sectional garage doors. The bottom guide rails feature protective caps that insulate the steel from the ground, reducing corrosion and extending the durability of the structural components.

Durability and precision of workmanship

The guide rails, hinges and brackets are made of 1.5 mm thick galvanised steel, which guarantees rigidity and resistance to deformation. The ball bearing rollers operate in a double arrangement, improving stability and reducing noise during door movement.

Garage door panel

The 40 mm thick panel is made of two steel sheets. It is filled with PUR polyurethane foam. The segments are joined using a tongue-and-groove system, eliminating thermal bridges and ensuring an even surface across the entire door. The panel's design allows for a heat transfer coefficient of 1.3 W/(m²K).

Exterior colour scheme

The exterior surface of the panels is available in woodgrain, smooth, deep matt, wood-like and sand textures. The powder coating is UV- and scratch-resistant. The STYLE version is available in the following basic colours: Anthracite RAL 7016, Anthracite RAL 7016 wood-like, White RAL 9016, Brown RAL 8014, Silver RAL 9006, Black RAL 9005, Golden Oak, Walnut, Winchester, Turner Oak, Swamp Oak.

Peripheral seals

The peripheral sealing system consists of flexible profiles made of EPDM rubber resistant to ageing, UV radiation and temperature fluctuations. The seals are installed along the side guide rails, in the top profile and in the bottom panel, creating a continuous barrier that limits air and water infiltration. With the appropriately selected material hardness, they ensure a tight fit to the substrate and the edges of the guide rails, improving the thermal and acoustic parameters of the entire structure.

Inter-panel seals

The joints between individual segments are equipped with EPDM lip seals, which compensate for minor dimensional deviations and eliminate air and water penetration in the joint area. The seal profile has been designed to maintain constant pressure between the panels during door operation, regardless of temperature and direction of movement. This element also serves to dampen vibrations, contributing to the quiet and stable operation of the entire door.

Spring breakage protection

The torsion and tension spring system is equipped with a locking mechanism that immediately stops the rotation of the shaft or guide mechanism in the event of a spring break. This solution works mechanically – without the need for power – and locks the winding drums, preventing the sudden drop of the door. The mechanism meets the requirements of EN 13241 for safety in use and can be reused after replacing the damaged spring.

Spring system F / R / X

The STYLE garage door can be equipped with three spring solutions:

F – torsion springs mounted at the front, to the lintel. Recommended for standard installation heights.

R – rear torsion springs located at the end of the horizontal guide rails at the back of the garage. Reommended for installation with low lintels.

X – a system of tension springs mounted in vertical guide rails, designed for limited installation spaces. This system uses vertical covers that conceal the springs and make them invisible to the user.

Torsion springs have a service life of 25,000 cycles, and tension springs have a service life of 15,000 cycles, according to the technical parameters table.

Guide rollers

The rollers are made of a material with increased abrasion resistance and are mounted on ball bearings. The STYLE version features double rollers with protective covers, improving aesthetics and safety. The cover colour matches the other galvanized garage door components. Double rollers and bearing rollers ensure quiet and smoother running of the door in the guide rails.

Emergency power supply

An optional backup device allows the garage door to be operated in the event of a power outage. The battery provides several full cycles of operation for the Marantec drive, automatically switches to emergency power and features deep cell discharge protection.

Drives and operation

STYLE garage doors are compatible with Marantec Comfort drives, featuring soft start and stop function, an obstacle detection system and speed control. The mechanism operates on the basis of a drive rail with a toothed belt, ensuring quiet and smooth operation while requiring no lubrication or maintenance. Radio remote control and integration with the FAKRO Smart Home system are available.

Photocells

Infrared photocells are a safety feature. Interrupting the beam causes the garage door to stop and the door to retract automatically. The IP54-rated housing increases the devices' resistance to dust and moisture, and the adjustable mounting angle facilitates precise beam alignment. Photocells are an optional extra.

Remote controls

The radio control system uses 868 MHz remote controls with Rolling Code encryption. Two-channel and four-channel versions are available, enabling operation of one or more garage doors. The remote control casing is made of impact-resistant plastic.

Internal bolt

The internal bolt acts as a mechanical security device, preventing the garage door from being opened from the outside. It is made of a steel rod, allowing for additional locking of the garage door. The use of a bolt increases garage door security and is a key element in preventing forced entry. The bolt is an optional extra.

Interior colours

The inner side of the panels features a white RAL 9016 finish. The paint coating is highly resistant to abrasion and chemicals used in garages. The light-coloured surface improves interior lighting and makes it easier to keep clean.

Fittings and guide rails

The fittings are made of 1.5 mm thick galvanised steel, formed with high dimensional accuracy. The vertical guide rails have anti-corrosion caps to protect the lower sections from moisture.

Drive rail with belt

The drive rail is made of zinc-coated steel profile. Inside, there is a toothed belt characterised by flexibility, tensile strength and quiet operation. The bogie wheel performs linear movement without vibration, and installation is mounted on adjustable steel brackets.
