Cassette
The VMZ ZIP awning blind cassette is a carefully considered detail that combines modern design with exceptional durability. Made of weather-resistant aluminium, it effectively protects the awning blind fabric and mechanism from rain, snow and harmful UV radiation, guaranteeing unchanging aesthetics for many seasons. There are three cassette shapes to choose from: oval, rectangular or round, as well as four standard colours: RAL 7022, RAL 8003, RAL 9005, RAL 9010, so that it can be harmoniously matched to the style of the building.
Guide rails
The VMZ ZIP awning blind guide rails play a key role in stabilising the fabric, ensuring its tension and smooth operation. Thanks to the ZIP system, the fabric remains taut and does not slip out of the side guide rails, which increases its resistance to wind gusts and eliminates unwanted creasing. Made of high-quality aluminium, they are highly durable and resistant to weather conditions. The guide rails are available in four standard colours: RAL 7022, RAL 8003, RAL 9005, RAL 9010, and on request – also in any colour from the RAL palette.
Fabric
The VMZ ZIP awning blind is a modern sunshade made of durable fibreglass coated with a PVC layer, providing exceptional resistance to rain, wind and intense UV radiation. The fabric is available in four light transmission variants – from complete blackout to slight darkening (0–10%), allowing for precise adjustment of the level of protection to sunlight and individual needs. A wide range of colours allows the awning blind to be matched to the style of the building, emphasising its character and aesthetics.

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
When rolled down, the vertical roll-up awning provides privacy during the day, limiting visibility from the outside while maintaining contact with the surroundings. Many models also function as a mosquito screen, allowing for ventilation without worrying about insects.
