The retractable fabric made of fibreglass covered with a PVC layer is resistant to stretching, does not fade in the sun, does not deform and does not absorb moisture. The awning blind fabric gently filters light, blocking UV radiation that could damage furniture or fabrics. Comfort is complemented by insect protection as when rolled down, the awning blind allows you to open the window even in the evening without letting mosquitoes and flies inside.

The VMZ Z-Wave Solar awning control system is fully wireless and exceptionally convenient. The device is powered by solar energy – it does not require connection to the electrical system, which allows for installation even in hard-to-reach places. The built-in solar panel charges the battery even in diffused light, and the stored energy is sufficient for daily operation of the device for a long time. You can operate the awning blind via a remote control or smartphone – also as part of the Smart Home system. You can program it to operate only in hot weather, open at dawn or respond to temperature changes.
The VMZ Z-Wave Solar awning blind cassette is made of coated aluminium. Its construction is lightweight, yet durable and corrosion-resistant. The cassette houses both the rolled-up fabric and the motor and solar panel. All these elements are completely hidden, improving the aesthetics of the installation and protecting the mechanism from weather conditions. There are three cassette shapes to choose from: oval, rectangular or round, as well as four standard colours: RAL 7022, RAL 8003, RAL 9005, RAL 9010, allowing for a harmonious match with the building’s style.

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
When rolled down, the vertical roll-up awning provides privacy during the day, limiting visibility from the outside while maintaining contact with the surroundings. Many models also function as a mosquito screen, allowing for ventilation without worrying about insects.
