The awning blind can be easily rolled down and up, adjusting the level of shade to current needs. Sturdy guide rails and weather-resistant fabric guarantee a long service life and an unchanged appearance, even after many years of use.

Fabric
It is available in fabric groups with varying transparency levels – up to 10% – allowing for precise adjustment to the level of sunlight and user expectations, as well as facilitating the selection of colours consistent with the building's façade.
Protective cassette
The VMZ awning blind cassette is a robust and aesthetically pleasing structural element in which the awning blind fabric is rolled up. It is made of durable aluminium, which effectively protects the fabric and shaft from weather conditions such as rain, snow and UV radiation. The cassette is available in four standard colours: RAL 7022, RAL 8003, RAL 9005, RAL 9010.
Guide rails
The side guide rails of the VMZ awning blind are responsible for the precise guidance of the fabric during unfolding and rolling up. The lower fabric profile is attached to hooks in the guide rails, which allows the awning blind to be stopped at the requested height. The colour of the guide rails can be selected from the available standard palette: RAL 7022, RAL 8003, RAL 9005, RAL 9010, or you can order a version in any colour from the RAL colour chart

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
When rolled down, the vertical roll-up awning provides privacy during the day, limiting visibility from the outside while maintaining contact with the surroundings. Many models also function as a mosquito screen, allowing for ventilation without worrying about insects.
