With just one click, the awning blind can be lowered during hot weather, raised after sunset or respond to temperature rises. Power is supplied from the mains as the awning blind requires no sunny location or battery charging.

Unlike traditional blinds, the awning blind fabric does not completely block out daylight – it gently filters it, creating a pleasant indoor atmosphere. At the same time, it protects furniture, floors and decorations from harmful UV radiation.
The VMU Z-Wave awning blind cassette, made of corrosion-resistant aluminium, conceals the entire mechanism and fabric, protecting it from rain, dust and snow. Its compact form makes the awning blind virtually invisible when rolled up – only a subtle line on the façade reveals its presence. The cassette design guarantees smooth operation of the system while emphasising the building's modern character. The VMU Z-Wave is available in four colour options, allowing it to match windows and façades without any visual compromise.

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
