After installation, most of the components – including the cassette and guides – are partially hidden under the façade, without disturbing its appearance. When the awning blind is rolled up, it becomes virtually invisible. What is more, the guide rails can be ordered in a colour matching the joinery, allowing the awning blind to subtly blend into the façade, creating a cohesive and elegant whole.

The guide rails of the VMU Wi-Fi Tuya flush-mounted external awning blind for vertical windows further emphasise the minimalism and aesthetics of the building. Discreet, aesthetic and perfectly integrated with the façade, they are designed to blend seamlessly into the façade and not disrupt the building's style. With a choice of colours to match the window joinery, they form a coherent whole with the architecture. When rolled up, the fabric is virtually invisible, and their special design ensures smooth and quiet operation. The guide rail profiles are available as standard in the following colours: RAL 7022, RAL 8003, RAL 9005 and RAL 9010, but you can also order them in any colour from the RAL palette.

The VMU awning blind offers fabrics with 0%, 1%, 4% and 10% light transparency, allowing you to precisely adjust the amount of light entering the interior. The fabrics provide effective protection from the sun and heat, and the wide range of colours allows you to match the look to your interior design. Choose 0% light transparency for complete blackout or 10% to gently filter the light. Each fabric has been designed for maximum sun and heat protection to ensure comfort and energy efficiency.

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
When rolled down, the vertical roll-up awning provides privacy during the day, limiting visibility from the outside while maintaining contact with the surroundings. Many models also function as a mosquito screen, allowing for ventilation without worrying about insects.
