In addition, it effectively protects furniture, floors and decorations from UV radiation, reducing the risk of fading and discolouration. Its unique design with a tilting bar allows you to create a lightweight canopy over the window, providing convenient access to the window sill.

Eco-friendly power supply and remote operation
The solar-powered VMB Z-Wave Solar roll-up awning operates independently of the electrical system, eliminating the need for wiring, drilling into walls or altering the façade. The photovoltaic panel charges the battery, allowing the roll-up awning to be used even on cloudy days. Control is fully remote – using a remote control, wall-mounted button or smartphone as part of the Smart Home system and HC3 Lite gateway integration. The roll-up awning automatically responds to changing weather conditions, offering convenience without the need for daily operation – just program it once to enjoy comfort throughout the season.
Cassette
The aluminium cassette mounted above the window stands out with its modern design and high resistance to external factors. It protects the rolled-up fabric from rain, dust and snow. Available in four standard colours or, upon request, in any shade from the RAL palette, it allows you to match the cover to the appearance of the façade and window frames.
Guide rails
Slim aluminium guide rails hold the fabric securely in place during operation. Thanks to precise guidance, the fabric unrolls evenly and silently. The roll-up awning is equipped with a movable bar which, when activated, turns into a practical canopy over part of the window. The guide rails are mounted directly on the window frame, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the entire system and facilitating its integration with modern architecture.
Fabric
The fabric's special weave reduces heat and UV radiation penetration while maintaining transparency and a subtle visual lightness. Depending on the selected option, it allows you to adjust the dimming level to the character of your room. Lighting comfort and thermal protection go hand in hand with durability and weather resistance.
Solar panel
The solar panel integrated into the roll-up awning cassette converts solar energy into power for the cover, ensuring full autonomy without the need for a power connection. When optimally positioned, it effectively charges the battery even on cloudy days. This solution allows you to enjoy comfort and energy savings, even in places where installation would be difficult or costly.
Solar roll-up awnings should be installed in locations where the solar panel will be exposed to direct sunlight. It is recommended to install solar roll-up awnings on the south, west, and east sides. Installing them on the north side may result in battery discharge and the roll-up awning becoming inoperable.

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
When rolled down, the vertical roll-up awning provides privacy during the day, limiting visibility from the outside while maintaining contact with the surroundings. Many models also function as a mosquito screen, allowing for ventilation without worrying about insects.
