The VMB Z-Wave roll-up awning cassette is made of durable aluminium and is available in four colours: white, grey, black and brown, and upon request – in any shade from the RAL palette. The fixed housing ensures an aesthetic appearance and effectively protects the rolled-up fabric from weather conditions, dust and UV rays, ensuring a long product life.
Guide rails
The VMB Z-Wave roll-up awning guide rails are designed to ensure smooth and quiet operation. They precisely guide the fabric during unfolding and rolling up, preventing it from shifting or flapping in the wind. Their slim design blends in with the window frame, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing appearance and discreet integration with the building's façade. The roll-up awning is equipped with a movable bar which, when activated, turns into a practical canopy over part of the window.
Fabric
The fabric used in the roll-up awning features an exceptionally dense weave and low heat permeability. This allows it to effectively limit solar radiation while still maintaining visibility to the outside. Various levels of openness are available — from blackout to more transparent options — enabling the roll-up awning to be tailored to individual needs and the function of the room.

Fabric placed outside the window
In all FAKRO vertical roll-up awning models, the fabric is mounted on the outside of the glazing, which allows it to block sunlight before it reaches the glazing, eliminating the hot greenhouse effect. As a result, roll-up awnings effectively reduce interior heating by up to 10°C, ensuring thermal comfort without the need for air conditioning.
UV radiation reduction and interior protection
FAKRO vertical roll-up awnings block up to 90% of UV radiation, protecting furniture, floors and decorative elements from fading and degradation. In addition, the fabric is available in various transparency degrees, allowing for comfortable interior lighting without annoying glare.
Privacy and insect screen function
When rolled down, the vertical roll-up awning provides privacy during the day, limiting visibility from the outside while maintaining contact with the surroundings. Many models also function as a mosquito screen, allowing for ventilation without worrying about insects.
