FSR P5 Smoke Ventilation Window
The FSR P5 smoke ventilation window combines fire safety with everyday comfort and functionality. In an emergency, it effectively releases smoke and hot gases, helping to improve the safety of people inside the building. In everyday use, it also functions as a roof window, providing natural light and allowing rooms to be ventilated. Its robust timber construction, high-quality finish and P5 glazing unit make the FSR P5 a practical solution for stairwells, public buildings and other spaces where proven performance and enhanced burglary resistance are important.
Designed with safety in mind
The FSR P5 smoke ventilation window is designed to provide efficient smoke extraction in accordance with PN-EN 12101-2 and reliable system operation. The 24V chain actuator opens the sash to 90° within 60 seconds, providing the optimum geometric smoke ventilation area required by PN-EN 12101-2.
The wide opening angle also allows the window to be used as a safe roof access point in emergency situations. Durable hinges and a precise operating mechanism help maintain structural stability under the loads specified in the technical documentation, while compliance with VdS 2221:2001-08(01) allows the window to be used in natural smoke ventilation systems for stairwells.
Flexible installation across a wide range of roof pitches
The FSR P5 smoke vent can be installed in roofs with pitches from 15° to 90°, making it suitable for both standard pitched roofs and more demanding roof structures. A wide range of flashing options is available to ensure a secure fit with different types of roofing materials. The smoke vent can also be equipped with additional components, including weather sensors, ventilation switches and remote control systems. This allows the system to be tailored to the technical requirements of the building while ensuring convenient everyday use.

Glazing unit
The FSR P5 smoke ventilation window is equipped with an anti‑burglary, double‑chamber P5 glazing unit, providing a high level of protection against forced entry through the glazing. The internal laminated pane, class P2A, enhances user safety – even if broken, the glass pieces remain stuck with the film, reducing the risk of injury and preventing unauthorised access. The external toughened pane, covered by a lifetime warranty against damage caused by hail, increases resistance to mechanical damage and weather conditions.
External cladding
The external elements of the smoke ventilation window are covered with durable, corrosion‑resistant flashing in RAL 7022 colour. The materials used are highly resistant to moisture, UV radiation, and varying weather conditions, ensuring long‑lasting protection and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The elegant finish harmonises with both modern and traditional roofing materials. In combination with an appropriate flashing, it ensures a tight and durable connection with the roof, even in buildings subject to intensive use.
Internal finish
The interior of the smoke ventilatio window is made of high‑quality pinewood, vacuum‑impregnated to protect it against the growth of fungi and mould. It is additionally coated twice with a clear acrylic lacquer, which protects against moisture and slows down the ageing process of the material. The light, natural finish introduces a pleasant visual accent into the interior without disturbing the harmony of the décor. The wood serves not only a structural function but also enhances the overall aesthetics of the product.
Chain actuator
The 24 V chain actuator used in the FSR P5 model enables automatic opening and closing of the smoke ventilation window when connected to a control system. The mechanism is designed to ensure fast operation – full opening to an angle of 90° is achieved within 60 seconds. Stable lifting of the sash and high reliability in emergency situations ensure full functionality both in smoke ventilation mode and during everyday use.
