Glass
The upper section of the SFH light tunnel is equipped with 4 mm toughened glass, which is highly resistant to weather conditions and ensures excellent tightness. Set in a solid aluminium frame, it effectively protects the interior from wind, precipitation and dirt. Its design allows natural daylight to penetrate without distortion or loss of intensity. The flat form of the light tunnel fits harmoniously into both modern and standard roof designs.
Light transmitting tube
The flexible light transmitting tube is the central component of the SFH light tunnel, responsible for effectively redirecting daylight from the roof to the interior. Its special, multi-layer coating with a high reflection coefficient efficiently directs sunlight to the diffuser in the ceiling. Thanks to its flexible design, it is easy to bypass structural elements of the building, simplifying installation and enabling installation in areas with limited access. This solution allows for natural lighting throughout the day while reducing the need for artificial lighting. The 210 cm long tube can be extended using additional SLM modules – up to a maximum recommended length of 400 cm for a diameter of 350 mm and up to 600 cm for a diameter of 550 mm.
Diffuser
The lower section of the SFH light tunnel, visible from the room, is finished with an elegant ceiling diffuser that evenly distributes daylight inside. The matt white shade eliminates harsh reflections and shadows, creating pleasant, diffused lighting. In addition to its practical function, it also serves a decorative purpose, providing a subtle design element. Additionally, it is possible to use the SLO light kit, allowing the light tunnel to function as a lamp even after dark.
