Glazing unit
The DXW window features a double-chamber passive glazing unit, which significantly improves the energy efficiency of the building. It consists of three panes, achieving a very low heat transfer coefficient of Ug = 0.5 W/m²K, which translates into minimised heat loss during the heating season and better protection against overheating in the summer. The total thickness of the glazing unit is approximately 66 mm, ensuring high thermal insulation.
Exernal glass
The outer glass of the glazing unit is laminated, therefore it does not shatter into sharp pieces when broken, but remains stuck to the safety film. This is a key element that increases the level of protection for people using the terrace or roof. The glass surface is additionally coated with a special non-slip coating, making the DXW window safe to use as a walkway or part of a terrace.
