Renovation flat roof skylight DXA G53

Fixed glazing in flat roofs is an excellent way to illuminate rooms where traditional vertical windows cannot be installed. The DXA G53 non-opening renovation skylight has been designed to replace existing skylights and increase daylight penetration, while maintaining the integrity and durability of the structure. The double-chamber glazing unit guarantees adequate thermal insulation, and the minimalist, flat form with elegant blackened glass emphasises the modern character of residential and commercial buildings.

DXA G53 - Descriptions[1]

Strength and durability for years to come

The stable design without opening mechanisms ensures complete tightness and reliability in everyday use. The DXA G53 model meets the UL1500 upward load, DL2500 downward load and SB1200 impact resistance (large soft body) standards, confirming its durability even in harsh weather conditions. The thermal transmittance coefficient of the entire skylight is Uw = 1.5 W/m²K, while the Urc value for the skylight with the installation base is 1.1 W/m²K (for a reference size of 150×150 cm).

Suitable for various roof types and interior designs

The DXA G53 model is designed for installation on flat roofs with pitches from 0° to 15°. It can be installed on new and existing bases, making it ideal for renovations, adaptations and replacement of older skylights. The interior finish in RAL 9010 white blends seamlessly with various styles and interior designs, while the exterior aluminium cladding in RAL 9005 fits in with current architectural trends, creating an elegant and coherent overall look. A wide range of sizes (55 standard sizes) allows for customisation to meet individual needs.

Sash

The flat finish with glass factory‑bonded to the profile creates a minimalist, elegant form that blends seamlessly into the roof surface. A 30 mm black border (RAL 9005) around the pane conceals the bonding area, enhancing the visual aesthetics and giving the whole structure a cohesive, modern appearance. The design of the glass segment promotes effective water drainage, while the precisely engineered profile geometry further increases the amount of natural light entering the interior.

Glazing unit

The single‑chamber glazing unit achieves a thermal insulation value of Uw = 1.7 W/m²K, while the complete window with the installation base reaches Urc = 1.3 W/m²K (for the reference size 150×150 cm). The laminated inner pane enhances user safety by preventing glass fragments from dispersing in the event of breakage. The outer toughened pane increases durability and structural stability, ensuring long‑lasting performance. The glazing unit is also equipped with a low‑emissivity coating that reduces heat gain inside the room.

Frame

The window frame is made of multi‑chamber PVC profiles in white RAL 9010, offering high resistance to moisture and weather conditions. The chambers are filled with thermal insulation material, further improving the construction’s thermal performance.
The external aluminium cladding, available in three colour variants (RAL 9005, 7016, 7022), provides effective protection against the elements while giving the window a modern and elegant appearance. The frame design enables easy installation thanks to factory‑made mounting holes and the option for quick sash removal.

Characteristic features

Our products stand out for what truly matters. Discover the features that make them reliable and exceptional in everyday use.

Installation on existing base

Windows can be installed directly onto existing bases, without the need to remove the roof structure. This reduces the scope of work, minimizes the risk of damage to the roofing, and speeds up the entire replacement process.

Resistance to weather conditions

Glazing units featuring toughened glass combined with an internal pane rated P2A increase resistance to impact and weather conditions. The construction meets high load standards, ensuring stability and safe operation over many years.

Larger glazed area

Specially designed profiles make it possible to achieve a larger glazing area compared to standard solutions. More natural light enters the interior, enhancing the functionality of spaces beneath flat roofs.
